Preamble

Les Instants Privés provides a private garden of 800 m² for private events (birthday parties, family gatherings, team-building activities, etc.). By signing the rental agreement, the renter — hereinafter referred to as "the Organiser" — fully accepts these House Rules and is personally responsible for compliance, both for themselves and for all their guests.


1. Capacity and Access

1.1 The maximum authorised capacity is 25 persons present simultaneously on the premises, adults and children included.

1.2 Access to the site is strictly reserved for persons invited by the Organiser. Unauthorised access is prohibited.

1.3 The Organiser is responsible for controlling access and ensuring that no uninvited third party enters the property.

1.4 Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult.


2. Opening Hours

2.1 Rental time slots are defined in the contract. The Organiser undertakes to strictly respect the scheduled start and end times.

2.2 Events must end no later than 10:00 PM (22:00), unless prior written agreement has been obtained from the owners.

2.3 Any unauthorised overtime will be billed at the applicable hourly rate and may result in the immediate termination of the event.

2.4 Access to the site before the scheduled start time is only possible with the explicit consent of the owners.


3. Noise and Neighbourhood Courtesy

3.1 The site is located in a residential area. Respect for the neighbours' peace and quiet is mandatory.

3.2 Sound levels must remain reasonable at all times.

3.3 Music is prohibited throughout the premises, at any time during the event (speakers, PA systems, live music).

3.4 Shouting, horn-blowing, firecrackers and any noise likely to disturb the neighbourhood are prohibited, including at the entrance and exit of the site.

3.5 In the event of a justified complaint from a neighbour, the owners reserve the right to require an immediate reduction in noise levels or, in the event of a repeated violation, to terminate the event without refund.


4. Use of Equipment and Spaces

4.1 The Organiser undertakes to use all equipment provided with care and for its intended purpose.

4.6 Bringing furniture or structures onto the site without prior agreement (marquees, stages, inflatable structures, etc.) is strictly prohibited.

4.7 The use of fireworks, sky lanterns, smoke bombs and any pyrotechnic items is strictly forbidden.


5. Safety

5.1 The Organiser undertakes not to overload structures (terraces, balconies, staircases) beyond their capacity.

5.2 Any pool or body of water on the site may only be used within the framework defined in the contract. Adult supervision of children near water is the sole responsibility of the adults present.

5.3 Electrical sockets and installations must not be overloaded. The use of non-compliant extension leads is prohibited.

5.4 In the event of an accident, the Organiser must immediately contact the emergency services (15, 18 or 112) and inform the owners as soon as possible.

5.5 The Organiser must familiarise themselves with the location of fire extinguishers and the first-aid kit before the event begins.

5.6 Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas. Passageways and emergency exits must remain clear at all times.


6. Animals

6.1 Pets are welcome provided they are kept on a lead or under constant control by their owner.

6.2 The Organiser is responsible for any damage caused by an animal (bites, property damage, soiling).

6.3 Animal waste must be picked up immediately by the animal's owner.

6.4 Animals are not permitted inside any covered indoor area.


7. Cleanliness and Condition of the Premises

7.1 The site must be returned in a state of cleanliness equivalent to that recorded at check-in.

7.2 The Organiser undertakes to:

7.4 Any damage identified (furniture, fencing, plants, installations) will be reported to the Organiser and billed at the actual cost of restoration.


8. Alcohol and Conduct

8.1 Alcohol consumption is permitted within legal limits. It is strictly forbidden to serve alcohol to minors.

8.2 The Organiser undertakes to ensure that no visibly intoxicated guest drives away from the venue at the end of the event.

8.3 Any violent, aggressive, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour towards neighbours, owners or other participants will entitle the owners to bring the event to an immediate end.

8.4 The possession and consumption of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on the premises.


9. Catering

9.1 If the Organiser engages an external caterer, the owners must be notified in advance and the caterer must be made aware of and comply with these House Rules.

9.2 Catering delivery vehicles must use the designated access points and must not obstruct the public highway.

9.3 Any professional equipment brought by the caterer (gas cookers, generators, etc.) must be declared and approved in advance.


10. Liability and Insurance

10.1 The Organiser declares that they hold personal liability insurance covering damages that may occur during the event. Proof of insurance may be requested.

10.2 The owners accept no liability for accidents, injuries, theft or loss of personal belongings occurring during the rental period.

10.3 The Organiser is solely responsible for damages caused by themselves, their guests or any service providers they engage.

10.4 A security deposit, the amount of which is specified in the contract, may be withheld in full or in part in the event of damage identified at check-out.


11. Photography and Social Media

11.1 Personal photos and videos are permitted.

11.2 Any commercial use or public sharing (social media, press, blogs) of images clearly showing the site requires prior written authorisation from the owners.

11.3 The owners reserve the right to photograph the site before and after the event for record-keeping and documentation purposes.


12. Parking and Vehicle Access

12.1 Parking is permitted only in designated and indicated spaces.

12.2 It is forbidden to leave a motor vehicle running within the garden perimeter.

12.3 The owners cannot be held liable for damage to vehicles parked on the premises.


13. Termination and Early Ending

13.1 In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these House Rules, the owners reserve the right to terminate the event immediately without refund of any amounts paid.

13.2 Cancellation by the Organiser is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the rental contract.


14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Any dispute relating to the application of these House Rules shall be submitted, failing amicable resolution, to the competent court in the jurisdiction of Montmorency, France.

14.2 These House Rules may be amended by the owners. The version in force is the one provided to the Organiser at the time of signing the contract.
